Your King of the Point for February is Paul Comforti. Paul is all about the business of coming into the gym and getting it done. He joined our gym with CrossFit experience and we’ve enjoyed watching him get stronger. Paul’s strength and hard work earned him 1st Place in the Scaled Division at our 2017 In-House Throwdown. We are grateful for Paul’s commitment, positive attitude and work ethic. Thank you for choosing us to be part of your day! Congratulations Paul!

We had a chance to catch up with the King … see what he has to say below! 🙂

What brought you to East Boston? Employment transfer to Boston

What drew you to CrossFit? Good exercise planned by someone other than me

What was your expectation on your first day at CJP? How has your perception changed since that day? This is my fourth membership at CrossFit gyms (changes due to job location transfers) so my expectations were based on them, which were all good. CJP surpassed them.

What keeps you coming back to CJP? I have found CJP to be the best in terms of quality instruction, positive attitude, and team/community spirit.

What are some of the changes you have experienced in your physical appearance, strength and/or body composition. How have you used this outside of the gym? My objective is to maintain or improve my existing fitness level; mission accomplished.

Biggest improvements/struggles with CrossFit? Improvements: lower body strength, Struggle: Double-unders

If you could create your own WOD, what movements would you use? Any of the following: pull ups, push ups, T2B, Box jumps, DB shoulder press, burpees, push press, or cleans. No rowing or DUs please!

Meat head nickname (with explanation)? N/A

If you were to encourage someone on the fence of joining the CJP community, what would you say? Just try it out, first class is free. 😉

Long Live the King of the Point!
