I hope you are well. How are you? Temperatures are getting hot. So it is a good reminder to drink water at all times. Try drinking 8 ounces of water as soon as you get up from bed and 12 ounces of water about an hour prior to your workout. This will help you maximize your time at the gym even when the climate is HOT!!!
Today, your EastieFit Team had a discussion about the mask policy at the gym. Gyms are categorized as high risk spread area for COVID-19. As so, we have taken high level precautions to ensure we are being responsible and you are safe. As a result, no one has contracted COVID-19 from training at the gym. We are constantly consulting with Doctors, CDC, Mass.Gov and the City of Boston to come up with the most equitable solution for all. To make the decision we closely looked at vaccination, positive test data in Eastie and special circumstances in the EastieFit community.
MASKS WILL BE MANDATORY FOR ALL ATHLETES WHO ARE TRAINING AT THE GYM. WE WILL OBSERVE THIS GUIDELINE, AT LEAST, UNTIL JULY 5TH.
We appreciate you to continue to use the masks over the mouth and nose while you are in the gym for the benefit of all. You will know as soon as we lift the mandatory mask requirement.

Espero que esten bien. Como va? Se esta poniendo bien caliente alla fuera. Entonces le recuerdo que deben de beber mas agua. Beban 8 onzas de agua cuando se levanten en la mañana y 12 onzas una hora antes de entrenar. Esto le ayudara a mantenerse hidratado en el gimnasio y entrenar con fuerza sin importar si esta CALIENTE!
Hoy, su equipo de EastieFit tuvo una discusion acerca de la poliza de la mascarilla. Los gimnasios estan categorizados como areas de alto riesgo de contagio de COVID-19. Como tal, hemos mantenido unos protocolos muy altos de salubridad para mantenerlos seguros en el gimnasio. Como resultado, no hemos tenido ni un solo caso de contagio de COVID-19 en el gimnasio. Tambien, constantemente consultamos con doctores, CDC, Mass.gov y la Ciudad de Boston para tener la solucion mas equitativa para todos. Para tomar la decision, hemos considerado la data de vacunaciones, examenes positivos en Eastie y circunstancias especiales en nuestra comunidad de EastieFit.
LAS MASCARA SERA MANDATORIA PARA ENTRENAR EN EL GIMNASIO. HASTA POR LO MENOS EL 5 DE JULIO.
Apreciamos que mantenga el uso de la mascarilla cubriendo la boca y nariz mientras entrenen en el gimnasio para el cuidado de todos. Le informaremos tan pronto no sea necesario el uso de la mascarilla no se requerido.

Honestly, I was thinking it was going to be like the other CrossFit boxes I had been to before CJP. I thought I wasn’t going to last and that my first class was going to be a try out. I was surprised by how much commitment and effort the coaches put into each of us to make us better, a month try out turned out to be 3 years of continuous work. What started as a couple days a week turned out to be a life time commitment.
I was brought to CrossFit because of the functionality it provides for every challenge life versus just bodybuilding or power lifting. CrossFit forces you to break through mental barriers and past what you thought you physical or mental limit was.
We have something at CJP that I see and appreciate at every CrossFit gym I’ve ever vistied: a community of capable, caring judges and athletes of all shapes and sizes united under one goal of helping each other to get as fit as possible. That was my expectation when I showed up here on Day One (June 2015), and that perception hasn’t changed at all in the four years since.
